Elevator Arts Launches Activate: Nurturing Wellbeing Through Drama

Exciting news for 2024! Elevator Arts is thrilled to introduce its latest project, the specialist drama intervention project called Activate, set to kick off this term in two selected schools in Southend. This innovative initiative aims to make a positive impact on vulnerable young people by utilising drama and creativity as powerful tools to foster good mental health, overall wellbeing, positive self-expression, and confidence.

Activate is a collaborative effort, developed in partnership with Southend Virtual School, and made possible through the generous support of the Jerome Booth Charitable Fund and the Southend Education Fund, both administered by Essex Community Foundation.

As we embark on this journey, Activate seeks to create a nurturing space where young people can explore the transformative benefits of drama. The project recognises the vital role the arts play in supporting mental health and aims to empower participants with the tools they need to express themselves positively and build confidence.

Elevator Arts is grateful for the opportunity to bring Activate to life, with the invaluable support of our partners and funders. Together, we believe in the power of creative interventions to make a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable youth, contributing to a brighter and more resilient future. Stay tuned as we share the inspiring stories and positive outcomes that emerge from the Activate project!
