Having a BLAST at Halloween

BLAST had a spook-tacular time when they took part in the Southend Halloween Parade!

Young people at BLAST Youth Theatre designed their own masks and puppet based on characters they created and a story of aliens invading Southend!

The group used masses of imagination and ingenuity to create their costumes, masks & puppets from recycled bits and pieces - from cardboard and bamboo to stripy socks and slinkies.

BLAST then took part in Southend’s spectacular Halloween Parade on 29th October. The young people showed great showmanship & stamina, dancing and spooking the crowds all the way along the seafront!
