Stories On The Waves

The Queen takes a stroll along the promenade… but watch out your Majesty - a naughty seagull swipes her legendary handbag & sets it off on a journey around the world.

BLAST Youth Theatre topped off the Jubilee festivities with their performance for family and friends at Twenty One in Southend. The show celebrated the 70 year reign of the Queen through the young people’s own stories and the Queen’s travels around the world.

During the short production process BLAST had fun learning new skills in puppetry and storytelling to completely devise and create the show themselves alongside artist Hannah Brailsford & BLAST directors Michelle Barrington & Saffron Selfe.

Congratulations to all the BLAST members & thanks to all family & friends that came along to see the show! Thank you also for the support of Welcome To The UK & Twenty One.

We look forward to seeing you all again in September!
